These kits are supplied with our clear dual wall ATHSP heat shrink tubing. The inner wall of a special thermoplastic adhesive melts and flows when heat is applied. The tubing rapidly shrinks to a skin-tight fit, forcing the melted adhesive to flow and cover the substrate. Upon cooling the adhesive solidifies, forming a permanent, non-drying, flexible and waterproof barrier. This special tubing has a greater than 3 to 1 shrink ratio. The clear tubing allows the additional advantage of seeing inside the splice. The A3C, A3C & A4C are suitable for use with XLPE lead wire.
